The Advanced Missile Launcher (AML) family incorporates the latest missile launcher technology derived from a long heritage of proven rail missile launcher systems. The Advanced Missile Launcher offers a real solution to weight reduction for military platforms that require air-air weapons carriage. The Advanced Missile Launcher's 30kg mass means it is ideally suited for carriage on wing-tip stations or for applications where weight savings are a key requirement, such as unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). A range of Advanced Missile Launchers will be offered by Cobham Aerospace Systems to suit individual customer's applications, from wing-tip stations and UAVs to conventional store stations and helicopter platforms requiring missile carriage and release.

The Advanced Missile Launcher also allows weight savings to be traded for increased missile interface technology and equipment as part of the overall weapon system offering the potential advantages to missile performance either through additional propulsion or payload mass increasing both range and lethality capabilities.
